Marine Plywood

Marine Plywood has been designed specifically for structural applications where high impact resistance and high quality face finishes are required (which is why it is very popular in applications such as boat hulls).

Face Grade Marine plywood is manufactured with A grade veneer on both the face and back. The natural wood characteristics are limited by both structural and aesthetic considerations. Face Grade Marine plywood can be painted or clear finished on both surfaces.

Technical Information
  • Marine Plywood is a high quality product produced with untreated mixed tropical hardwood veneers that have a set level of resistance to fungal attack.
  • It is widely used in the marine industry for boat hulls, bulk heads, flooring and is also used by joinery companies looking for a high quality material with no core gaps.
  • The highest quality grade of veneers are used in every layer of Marine Plywood and these veneers don’t have defects, eliminating core gaps when the sheet is cut giving a smooth edge and desirable aesthetics.
  • Marine Plywood is manufactured using a WBP Glue Line; an adhesive, which has been proven to be highly resistant to weather, micro-organisms, cold and boiling water, steam and dry heat. The WPB bond is completely durable under a marine environment
